ReMeLife is not a new project. Its founder, Simon Hooper, is not a new kid on the block (he held probably the first ‘Blockchain in Healthcare’ event in London in 2017). Both Simon and ReMeLife have had a rocky ride, with many highs and lows. Its launch was scheduled just before Covid hit in March 2020, which torpedoed the business. Covid lockdowns gave time to rebirth the project and create ReMeLife as a social impact business, underpinned by blockchain and the power of crypto. A token round was launched in late October 2022, only to be scuppered weeks later by the crypto crash caused by the collapse of Sam Bankman-Fried’s FTX.

Rebuilt again from the ground up, and with the intent of being built and funded solely by its members as a true DAO, ReMeLife is now ready to fulfil its mission. Here is a sample of past highlights, so that you can appreciate that we’re experienced in both healthcare and crypto, and that we’re committed, battle hardened and ready for the next phase of ReMeLife. As many put it, we’re ReMeLifers.

ReMeLife Adopts Convex Lattice

“My dream has always been to watch a carer purchase a coffee with her cell phone using REME that she/he passively earned, from care actions or from data sharing. That requires a blockchain to have exceptional transactional speed (TPS and latency).” Convex has this. In this interview Mike Anderson, the founder of Convex, and Simon discuss what makes a block lattice different.

The Human Error Project Interview

We live in historical times, when every detail of our lives is a data point used by AI systems and algorithms to profile us, judge us and make decisions about us. This data that defines us is commercialised in a multiplicity of ways. Health and education practitioners "track risk factors" or find "personalized solutions". Employers, banks and insurers judge clients or potential candidates. Governments, the police and immigration officials use this tech to decide issues about individual lives, from one's right to asylum to one's likelihood to commit a crime. Courtesy of ReMeLife's focus on such data being used for positive social benefit and on establishing crypto based algorithms that share the value in digital care for the benefit of the community, we've been invited to collaborate in this important project.

ReMeLife Talking at London Metaverse Summit

OK ReMeLife is not a metaverse business… yet. But we are working towards it. For if there is one thing my mum wanted to do, it was to hang glide down the Grand Canyon with my brother. So I have no choice. The ReMeVerse Portal will be coming to a headset near you, as soon as is possible. This London event, in Canary Wharf, London, will present blockchain based innovations in healthcare, the future of NFTs and the progress in various Metaverse projects. Not a bad way to spend a Saturday afternoon.

Simon Talks to Australia’s Crypto Buzz

“In Australia, cryptocurrency and exchanges are legal and their regulations are progressive. Their status means that they’re treated as property and subject to Capital Gains Tax.” In an interview with Simon Hooper, Sage Godrei, Kalkine Media’s crypto commentator and host of crypto news show, Cryptobuzz, discussed the growing trend in social token investing, the potential impact of crypto in social care, ReMeLife’s rewards-based REME care token, and their imminent ICO launch. Perhaps not surprisingly, given Australia's forward-looking view of crypto, the response has been remarkable. Watch the interview.

ReMeLife at the Coin Bureau Crypto Conference, London

Although it was their first ever crypto conference, it felt like they'd been doing it for years. An excellent event. ReMeLife was invited backstage to share in their post event shenanigans. Who says the crypto sector is depressed? PS. If you don't know Coin Bureau then you don't know crypto.
